Funds are transferred to you either in transfer batches or capture batches.
For transfer batches, when a payment is received by Worldpay from the acquirer, we make certain adjustments for transaction fees and calculate the exchange rate (if applicable). The payment is given the payment status of AUTHORISED, then CAPTURED, then SETTLED, and is then placed in the currently open transfer batch for settled payments. This open transfer batch accepts settled payments for a certain time period: for most accounts, this is seven days. When the batch is closed, there is a 'transfer delay' before funds owed to you are transferred (see Transfer delay for details).
Capture batches apply if you have your funds remitted by a non-Worldpay acquirer. In this case, the payment is given the payment status of AUTHORISED, then CAPTURED, and then SETTLED_BY_MERCHANT. This last status indicates that your acquirer will make settlement.
As well as settled payments, batches may also contain refunds and chargebacks (see Payment and Order Details for details of chargebacks). Refunds occur when you refund a full payment or partial payment. Chargebacks occur when a shopper has contacted their card issuer and disputed the original transaction. If the chargeback is successful then the funds for the transaction are ultimately returned to the shopper's card. Refunds and chargebacks are debited from the amount to be transferred to you and may be added to a transfer batch, both during the time it is open for accepting settled payments and after the batch closes during the transfer delay.
Your current transfer batches can be viewed in the Transfer summary available in the Financial Status page. Both the date of transfer and the current funds due to you are available from this page.
Further details about transfer batches can be found in Transfer summary.
Details about each transfer batch and any adjustments made for fees and other items can be found in the Transfer report which we send to you at transfer (refer to Transfer report).
