EMDR Report

The EMDR report provides measurements of the Effective Merchant Discount Rate for a particular card type on a specified day. The information in this report applies only to Canadian transactions and is produced to meet the requirements of the Code of Conduct for the Credit and Debit Card Industry in Canada. Worldpay produces this report daily and contains information for transactions processed three days prior to the report.

While this report meets the requirements of the Code of Conduct for the Credit and Debit Card Industry in Canada, Worldpay recommends using the iQ and or the SSR Fee Report. Since the Fee report provides complete transparency into all fees accessed, it presents a more thorough representation of this information.

Filename Syntax

The syntax of the report filename is:

EffectiveMerchantDiscountRateReport${organizationId}_${targetDay}

where

  • organizationId is the ID of the parent merchant organization

  • merchantId is the ID of the merchant assigned by Worldpay.

  • targetDay is the activity date of the transactions in the report. The format is yyyyMMdd.

Report Structure

The table below provides information about the fields included in the report. The report fields are in the order presented in the table.

A data type of Signed Decimal (17,2) with a Max Size of 21 is defined as:
17 digits + decimal point + 2 digits + sign.

Transaction Amount Decimal 11 (2 digits of precision) The total value of the transactions for a specified card type on the specified day.
Fee Amount Decimal 11 (2 digits of precision) The total fees for a specified card type on the specified day.
EMDR Decimal 5 (3 digits of precision) The Effective Merchant Discount Rate for a specified card type on the specified day.
Card Network Varchar 10 The card network of the specified card - either Visa or MasterCard.
Card Type Varchar 100 The specific card type of the card (e.g., Visa Signature, MasterCard Gold, etc.)
