The shopper journey is the process that a shopper follows once s/he decides to use POLi to make the online payment.
There are two types of POLi pages - POLi3 and POLi4. Remember that these are POLi web pages, not the web pages of various banks. The bank web pages are completely separate and vary from bank to bank.
The shopper selects products or services on a merchant’s website and navigates to the checkout.
The shopper selects the POLi payment option on merchant’s payment page.
The system redirects the shopper to the POLi payment page, selects their bank from the dropdown menu and clicks ‘Proceed with payment’.
If their bank is integrated with POLi3 pages then their normal internet banking process appears in a POLi window.
The shopper continues through their internet banking process as normal, all fields are automatically populated and the shopper cannot change them. The only sensitive data the shopper has to enter are passwords. Links not relevant to completing the payment are blocked and shoppers cannot click them.
The shopper reviews the payment details and confirms to pay for the goods or services.
POLi debits the shopper’s account in real-time.
The system automatically redirects the shopper to your success URL.
