SAP and Paymetric Integration Points

SAP has designed their payment card interface to the clearinghouses with remote function call (RFC) communications. Our On-Demand Services communicate via web service, therefore we have an interface called the Paymetric Adapter for SAP (PAS) that converts the RFC calls from SAP to the web service calls needed by the On-Demand services. PAS is available for Windows and Linux platforms. It resides on a server in the merchant’s network.
We also provide SAP transports for ERP versions 4.6C, 4.7, ECC, and for CRM to facilitate the integration through us to the clearinghouses and the tokenization service. The transports for the ERP systems also provide extensive reports and utilities to enhance the payment card experience within SAP.

Client Side Components

For optimum performance, these three client side components must be kept updated to ensure the latest enhancements and repairs are being utilized.

Paymetric Adapter for SAP (PAS)

Used to configure SAP connection points for Authorization, Settlement, Void, and Encryption/Tokenization to B2B Gatway and XiSecure On-Demand services. PAS converts SAP RFC TCP/IP calls to SOAP web service calls.

XiPay Payment Card Management and Analytics (PCMA)

This is an SAP transport. A package of robust SAP functionality that offers the following features:

  • Process payment card payments via online, manual, or blind authorizations.

  • Post incoming and transfer payments.

  • Apply lump sum dollar amounts to an account.

  • Batch processing of payment card payments on open AR accounts.

  • Easily secure online authorizations and settlement.

  • An integrated reporting and analytic module that enhances the ability to extract pertinent payment card related data.

SAP Transport for XiSecure Integration

Provides the ability to enable tokenization so that when any payment card number is entered in an SAP payment card field (derived from the CCNUM domain) it is instantly tokenized in SAP memory and stored in the R/3 database. No raw cards numbers are stored in the SAP systems.

The following diagram illustrates in detail the various SAP modules that integrate with the On-Demand services and where tokens are passed in lieu of credit card numbers.

Many of the processes used in SAP Payment Card processing are standard SAP payment card workflow, and not related to Paymetric. We facilitate obtaining an authorization for the amount that SAP determines, and sending the settlement batch to the processor, but everything in between (deliveries, billing, invoicing, posting to accounting, etc.) is standard SAP functionality.
