Token Usage with XiPay - Token Awareness

The XiPay and XiSecure solution set can be implemented to allow token submission in the authorization and settlement requests. This concept is sometimes referred to as "token awareness" meaning that XiPay can recognize a token and obtain the raw card number directly from XiSecure in Paymetric's Data Center before submitting to the processor.

• There are varying levels of token awareness depending upon the token usage scenario.

• This feature must be requested during the onboarding process when the payment processing environments are established.

• If your XiPay environment is not configured for token awareness and you attempt to submit an authorization or settlement request using a token, errors will occur.
