GL1025

American Express Global Data File – Daily Transactions (GL1025) is a fixed-length, fixed-position file format. The GL1025 structure is different from the existing KR1025 spec. B2B File Transfer does NOT support KR1025.

B2B File Transfer tokenizes the following fields:

• Transaction Detail Record (lines beginning with “1”)

  • Originating CM Account Number

    • Position 183, 20 characters, left-justified, space-filled

  • Billing Account Number

    • Position 208, 20 characters, left-justified, space-filled

• Card Member Summary Record (lines beginning with “2”)

  • Cardmember Account Number

  • Position 61, 20 characters, left-justified, space-filled

Variable-length tokens can be used, as well as any 20-characters-or-less token format; however, in general, it’s not recommended to use a token length less than what the expected input length will be.
