About Identify Me

If you have the Identify Me service installed, it provides you with additional information to assist with the validation of a customer’s identity.

This may be useful, for example, when a new customer requests a credit card or a membership programme. Identify Me does not validate transactions, only customer details.

How it works

1.       You collect your customer data as normal.

2.       The service verifies personal information to the level of check requested, against various private sector and Government-issued data sources.

3.       Within seconds you receive clear and concise authentication responses.

Once the service is set up, an Identify Me request is sent to Worldpay. The transaction type indicator informs the Worldpay gateway that this is an Identify Me check request. The gateway then routes the check through to the Identify Me service, where the information supplied is verified against various records including address and telephone records, credit agencies and Government-issued data references. The response returns via the Worldpay Payment Gateway.
