The Identification section contains the following settings, some of which you can edit:
Merchant code - this shows your merchant code (always in capitals).
XML password - select the yellow pencil icon to change the password that is used to validate the XML you send to the Worldpay payment service.
Remember that the XML password is part of the credentials used to connect to the API. Therefore you need to ensure that if you change the password in the merchants interface you also need to ensure that you use the new value when connecting to our API. |
The current password and XML password are not visible in the interface and cannot be viewed by Worldpay staff. Also remember that changing the password only works for the environment you are currently in; that is, live environment=live password, test environment=test password. Please also note that there is a time delay of about 15 minutes before password changes take effect.
Redirect MAC secret - here you can change the Message Authentication Code (MAC) secret, or disable the use of the MAC in the Hosted Payment Page Redirect service. Our payment service uses the optional MAC secret to digitally sign redirect messages. For more details about implementation details of the MAC, please refer to Submitting Transactions in the HTML Redirect Model Guide.
Shop name - the name of the shop as registered in our payment service. It is one of the fields that may be sent to the financial institutions to be printed on shoppers statements. (What is actually printed is decided by the card issuer, not by Worldpay)
Shop URL - the URL of your shop or corporate website as registered in our payment service. This is one of the fields that may be sent to the card issuer to be printed on shoppers statements. (What is actually printed is decided by the issuing bank, not by Worldpay)
Settlement Currency Code - the currency in which we settle all payments to your account. A list of currency codes can be found in the Appendices of the Worldpay user documentation.
Deposit Amount - this is the amount we hold in deposit to secure payment of possible chargebacks to a financial institution after termination of your contract.
Changes you make in the Profile page take effect when you select the Save Profile button near the bottom of the page.
