Integration considerations
This section explains the various aspects and limitations that you must know before you integrate Konbini and Pay-easy as a payment method.
Gateways
Your integration features two Worldpay gateways. You integrate your system or systems with the WPG (Worldpay Gateway). This WPG gateway communicates through the WPAP (Worldpay Alternative Payments) gateway to Econtext, who own and run Konbini.
Voucher time out options
If the shopper opts to pay at a convenience store, they must do so within ten days of placing the original order. If the shopper does not pay within the specified time period, the PSP will expire the order so that it is no longer payable; when the shopper arrives at the convenience store they will be unable to settle the payment, and you will not receive payment.
This ten day time out works well for merchants with non-perishable or non time-critical merchandise. However, it may not be optimal in other lines of business where fulfilment of goods is more urgent (e.g. airline tickets, hotel bookings). You may optionally request Worldpay to impose a lower time out against your merchant code. This time out must be expressed in whole days up to a maximum of ten days. It is good practice to allow a margin of 3 hours after the time out has passed (in order to allow for communication delays between the in-store kiosk, the PSP and Worldpay) before considering that an order has expired.
You are advised to consider very carefully how this time out is set, and if necessary to discuss your options with your support contact in Worldpay.
Disallowed characters
You must never pass the following character sequences in any field (including the order code, name fields and address fields):
- ‘ (single-byte single quotation)
- , (single-byte comma)
- ; (single-byte semicolon)
- -- (single-byte two consecutive hyphens)
- & (single-byte ampersand)
- < > (single-byte inequality signs)
If you pass these characters, the payment could result in an error.
