About WebMoney

WebMoney is an eWallet that shoppers based in the countries listed in the Payment Method Properties table below can use to make real-time online payments.

Shoppers must pre-register with WebMoney before attempting a payment. Shoppers can load funds into purses within their eWallet, with a different purse for each of the accepted currencies.

When a shopper opens a basic WebMoney account, they are given an Alias Passport level account. This allows the shopper to use several WebMoney authentication options. To use the authentication options beyond these, the shopper must activate them within their WebMoney account before attempting the payment. To upgrade a WebMoney passport to a Formal Passport a shopper must provide personal data such as passport number, issue date and so on.
