Creating a user

This screen enables you to create other users, for one or more Merchant Codes. Users you create can receive all the permissions that you have.

Users created by a merchant (admin) user can't be seen by Worldpay staff.

For the Merchant Interface

To create a new user for the Merchant Interface:

1.       Select the User Management option in the left-hand navigation bar. The Select User page is displayed

2.       Select the Create New button. The Create User page is displayed

3.       Complete the fields as prompted. For example:

a.       Enter the new user's name and contact details.

b.       Create a password for the new user. They can amend this later if they choose in the User Profile screen.

c.       Select the Merchant Code(s) you are assigning to this user.

d.       Select the user roles you are assigning to this user.

4.       Select the Create User button. For details about completing all the fields, please refer to User Management page descriptions

5.       The Save User page is displayed (if any errors messages appear, use the browser's Back button to go back to the New User page and correct the errors)

6.       Select the Save button to save the new user.

The username is available for use immediately after you have saved the new user profile – unless you unchecked the Activate box when you created it.

'Test' user: If you want a user to have access to the test environment only, you complete the steps above and, in addition to assigning the required selection of roles labelled 'test', you must also assign the (non-test) Monitor role - you must do this in order to save the user profile successfully.

For the Virtual Terminal (WorldAccess) Interface

To create a new user for the Virtual Terminal (WorldAccess) Interface, carry out all the steps above and allocate the following roles:

This will give the user full access to the Virtual Terminal (WorldAccess) interface and enable them to access the User Profile page in the MI where they can change their own password when required.
