You can look at the Risk Score for a particular payment in either the Payments page or the Orders page by clicking on it. This displays the Risk Score page, with details of how the Risk Score for this payment is made up.
This page is only displayed if the Risk Management Module (RMM) is enabled on your system. For details of Risk Management, contact support@worldpay.com. |
The Risk Score is a range of automated and configurable checks that Worldpay applies to credit cards and Direct Debit payment attempts.
If a particular check returns a positive result, this value is assigned to the payment attempt, and the corresponding check is highlighted in red. Red lines indicate scores added to the overall total for this payment, while green lines indicate scores deducted.
A score of 100 or more means Worldpay refuse the transaction, and it is not submitted for authorisation.
There are also post-authorisation checks based on AVS/CVC results. The score is added to the pre-authorisation score and, if above 100, the transaction is cancelled (as refusal is no longer possible). |
1. Select the Risk Score in the Payments page by clicking on it. In the Orders page, click the View Payments link for the required payment, and then click on the Risk Score. In both cases, this opens the Risk Score window, where the details are displayed for this payment.
2. Press the Details button (available in the Action column) to determine whether the credit card or bank account number is on a stop list or white list. The Details button opens the corresponding Edit Stop list and White list window of the Risk Management service, and displays the result. Depending on the result you can add the card /account number to the stop/white list or remove it.
For the post-authorisation risk checks (CVC/CVV and AVS), the required and returned security levels are displayed at the top of the window. If supplied, the following shopper data is presented at the bottom of the window:
Shopper IP address
Shopper IP country
Card issuer country
