surchargeAmount

The surchargeAmount element defines the amount of the surcharge applied to the transaction by the merchant. Supply the value in cents without a decimal point. For example, a value of 400 signifies $4.00. Do not include this element if you are not applying a surcharge (i.e., do not include this element with a value of 0). Submitting a value of 0 results in a Generic Decline (response code of 350).

Type = Integer; totalDigits = 12

Use of the surchargeAmount element applies to Visa, Mastercard, and Discover credit card payments only. Also, you must notify the card networks and us of your intent to apply surcharges at least 30 days prior to implementing the surcharges. Please consult your Relationship Manager if you have additional questions.
